My name is Leslie Tait. I grew up in Orkney, then studied Science at Aberdeen University. I have lived most of my adult life in Orkney, while working in the oil industry on rotation in the North Sea and various locations overseas.

 

The downturn in the oil industry has led me into tourism. I have qualified as an Orkney Green Badge guide.

 

I have a great interest in my native islands and enjoy sharing this with visitors, both as a step on guide and driver guide.

 

I have always had an interest in other cultures, travel and meeting people from different walks of life. It is a pleasure to meet the wide range of visitors to Orkney.

 

As an enthusiastic landscape photographer, I can take people to interesting locations around Orkney, seeking optimum lighting conditions and spectacular scenery.
