Hello my name is Karen and I am a qualified Green Badge Guide with the Scottish Tourist Guides Association.

I was born and grew up in Orkney and have spent most of my adult life in the islands. I am keen to share my knowledge of Orkney which ranges from over 5000 years of history to growing up and living here today.  I love the outdoors and would especially like to share the scenery, wildlife, culture with you.  

I work as a ‘step-on guide’, which means that I will give you a tour in your own vehicle or hired vehicle.  I could meet you at a destination and lead you on a walking tour, whether it be the streets and sights of Kirkwall, a country ramble, or a coastal walk, or even a mixture of the three!  I will be delighted to plan a tour to match your areas of interests and to suit your visit schedule.
