Sarah De Rees– STGA Orkney Green Badge Guide | Summit to Sea Adventures

 

I am an STGA-qualified Orkney Green Badge Guide and founder of Summit to Sea Adventures, offering bespoke history, kayaking, and walking tours that connect visitors with the rich heritage and breathtaking landscapes of Orkney.  

Originally from Belgium, I moved to Scotland in 2001 and have embraced outdoor exploration for over two decades, first as a climber and hill walker, then as a kayaker drawn to Orkney’s dramatic coastline. I hold qualifications as a Mountain Training Lowland Leader and Paddle UK Sea Kayak Leader, ensuring safe and immersive experiences whether on land or water.  

 

With a background in Scottish history and culture, I established Summit to Sea Adventures to blend my love for storytelling with my passion for the outdoors. I take pride in offering personalized and engaging tours, helping visitors discover Orkney’s stunning scenery, diverse wildlife, and fascinating heritage in a meaningful way.  

 

Fluent in English and Dutch (Flemish being my mother tongue), I can provide tours that accommodate a wider range of visitors, ensuring a welcoming and enriching experience for all.
