Celebrate WFTGA International Tourist Guide Day - 21st February

I live in Kirkwall and can guide in English and Norwegian.
I taught chemistry, physics and science at Kirkwall Grammar School for thirty six years but have recently retired from teaching.
My interests include history, our Scandinavian heritage, archaeology, photography, kayaking, education , hill and coastal walking and wild life.
I am interested in our links, both past and present, with Scandinavia, other countries around the North Sea and North America.
I am a step on guide able to join groups in a car, minibus or larger coach.
I can arrange half day or whole day tours, starting from Kirkwall, Stromness, St Margaret’s Hope or elsewhere in Mainland Orkney.
I am also happy to join you on day trips to Hoy or any of the North Islands.
As a Level 3 BCU Kayaking Coach, I can arrange coastal trips for experienced kayakers (who have their own kayaks and equipment.)
I recently completed a National Qualifications Course in Higher German.
