Enhance your Orkney experience with a qualified Orkney guide
As well as guiding larger parties, I am interested in guiding smaller, private groups, either as a ''walking group'' or as a ''step-on-guide''. (I do not provide transport).
It gives me great pleasure showing visitors around our wonderful islands. No matter what your interest may be, I would endeavour to make your holiday experience as memorable and enjoyable as possible. Please click the link above to email me, or telephone: 01856 873552
I was born in the Shetland Islands but have lived in Orkney for the most of my life.
I am a fully qualified Orkney Guide, member of the Orkney Tour Guiding Association and affiliated to the Scottish Tour Guides Association.
Orkney has a lot to offer: the ever changing land/seascapes, archaeology, flora and fauna, our Norse heritage, and the importance of Scapa Flow during the two World wars.
My special interests include guided walks through the historic town of Kirkwall visiting our magnificent St Magnus Cathedral. Walks and excursions within the natural environment are also an interest e.g. coastal walks, as is history, particularly social history. It is enlightening to discover how we lived in the past and how we live today, still managing to retain a sense of identity and community.
