Kenneth Hambly

Ken Hambly is a qualified Scottish Green Badge Guide. His special interest is in Wartime Orkney. He is Chairman of the Holm Heritage Group and on the committee of ODIN, the organization that coordinates the preservation of wartime buildings in Orkney and is working to preserve the oral wartime heritage.

Ken is a retired doctor and author who first worked in Orkney in 1972, and who has never been far away since. He is passionate about Orkney and takes a great interest in all aspects of Orkney life. He is always willing to share his passion with visitors and to show anyone coming north the real Orkney, past and present.
