Currently undertaking a part-time PhD through the University of Edinburgh, researching the Orcadian Bronze Age. I also work during the winter as a project officer for ORCA – the Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology.

I qualified as an STGA accredited Orkney Tourist Guide in 2004, and have also since qualified as a Guide Trainer, being involved in Orkney guide training since 2005.
