Anne Gascoigne

What was that bird?
What is this flower?
Why are the cows all different colours?
Where are all the trees?
What is it like in winter?

Since 2005 I have been helping guests discover the answers to these questions – and a whole lot more besides! I am accredited by and insured with the STGA (Scottish Tourist Guides Association) and my main interests are Natural History, farming and the Orkney landscape: but I can also introduce you to the archaeology, music, renewable energy projects, food and architecture of our Islands.
I am happy to be your ‘step-on’ guide (in your vehicle) or to meet you at a location of your choice. I can suggest an itinerary to cover Mainland Orkney and/or the Outer Isles, and can help create a tour for groups or individuals of all ages, interests and abilities.

P.S. if you are wondering what it is like here in winter – why not visit ‘out-of-season’? I welcome guests all year around – and in all weather!
