The Orkney Tourist Guides Association (OTGA) has over 40 accredited guides with invaluable local knowledge of all aspects of Orkney.

All of our guides have completed the Orkney Tourist Guiding Course or hold similar tour guiding qualifications, and are regional affiliates of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association.

A number of guides are multilingual, offering visitors the opportunity of having tours in French, German, Italian, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish.

We also have guides who are qualified specialists in archaeology, botany, folklore, genealogy, wildlife and Orkney's wartime history.

We are affiliated to the Scottish Tourist Guides Association and all guides adhere to a Code of Conduct and Standards of Performance.

They regularly update their skills, are self-employed and are fully insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.

We offer guided tours and walks, suitable for large or small groups and individual visitors to all corners of the islands, on every aspect of Orkney.
